Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is set in the same universe as Warhammer 40,000,[1] a miniature wargame taking place in the far and grim future of 41st Millenium. The game itself consist into the assembling and painting of plastic miniatures, to collect and/or engage in battle with other players.[2]
Created by Games Workshop in 1987 with the release of the game's first edition, titled Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader,[3] it has since been expanded into a multimedia franchise, including novels, video games, and animations.[2]
Several foes in the Rogue Trader video games are directly transposed from Warhammer 40:000 armies and units:[4]
